On Sunday, August 12, 2012, the Nupho camp in Tak Province has organized the Mother’s Day which falls on Her Majesty the Queen Sirikit of Thailand’s 80th birthday. The ceremony, cerebrated by Local Authority, voluntary organization representatives, and refugees, has been aimed at promoting the honor of the Queen of Thailand and the Royal Thai Institute among the refugees and encouraging refugee young generation to show gratitude towards their parents. Celebrating activities designed to meet the purpose of the Day were youth’s performance through drama, songs, awards granted to outstanding mothers, video show about previous year ceremony, and eventually, the candle lighting ceremony to wish Her Majesty the Queen all the best.
